Organic farming

In this region, farmland has been gained with great effort since the mid-18th century. The Reußenkögen
were founded in 1920/1930 close to Bredstedt. Back in the day the main activities were agriculture and livestock breeding. It is in this very same place where Dirk Ketelsen operates the certified organic farm Dirkshof in third generation.

Today, Dirkshof mainly grows high-quality cereals on its 150-hector farm, such as spelt, barley and oats for the Demeter organisation. Its organic principles are also present in Dirkshof main business segment. Of this we are very proud.
